Fort Myers teenager arrested with arsenal of weapons
&cat=7&pid=6750&cache=true">FORT MYERS, Fla – A Fort Myers teen with marijuana plants, glass pipes and an arsenal of weapons is under arrest after drawing unusual attention to himself. Jeffrey Dessak faces drugs and weapon charges.? Deputies were called to the residence after Dessak fired a shot into his own bedroom window.??Upon arrival, deputies conducted a safety check of the bedroom to ensure no individuals were injured during the shooting and to make sure the weapon was secured. A visual check of Dessak’s bedroom revealed multiple weapons, including assault rifles, handguns, a shotgun, ammunition, a machete and a bayonet.? A search warrant was obtained and led to the discovery of marijuana plants being cultivated in a Tupperware watering system, a heat lamp, glass pipes, Xanax pills, a handgun with the serial number scratched off, several spent 12 gauge shotgun casings and $2,650 in cash. Dessak is charged with: *? Felony possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to cultivate *? Manufacture of a controlled substance *? Possession of controlled substance without a prescription *? Possession of marijuana over 20 grams *? Possession of a firearm with altered serial number *? Firing a deadly missile into a dwelling In addition, detectives will work with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to determine if more weapons charges are warranted.
